We believe that the Scripture is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. Since this is so, it is undeniably the final authority regarding faith and practice (II Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12).
We believe in the one true and living God, who exists eternally in three coequal persons identified as Father, Son, and Holy Sprit. He transcends time and space, and is completely perfect and holy (The Father is God – John 6:27; Eph. 4:6; The Son is God – Col. 2:9; Heb. 1:3; The Holy Spirit is God – Acts 5:3.4).
God is the active agent in redemption. Man has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard, therefore he is in need of being redeemed. This redemption has been accomplished through the work of Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death on the cross (Rom. 3:23-25).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and is perfect in His Deity. He took upon himself a complete and perfect humanity in the incarnation. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and was crucified as a sacrifice for sins, and a substitute for sinners. He was raised personally and bodily from the dead, and is now in heaven at the right hand of God. He is our advocate before the Father, and He will be returning to gather His own to Him. At the last battle He will return to finally inaugurate His kingdom on earth (His Deity – Matt. 16:16; 26:62-64; Phil. 2:6-11; His Incarnation – Matt. 1:18; John 1:14; Gal. 4:4; His sinlessness – Heb. 4:15; His substitutionary death – II Cor. 5:21; Rom. 4:23-25; His Bodily resurrection – John 20:20, 25-29; His final triumph – Rev. 19:11-16).
The Holy Spirit is a divine person (John 14:15-18), sent to dwell, guide, teach, empower the believer (John 16:13), and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:7-11).
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:27) he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature (Rom. 3:23), are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ (I Cor. 15:20-23). The portion of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment (Rev. 21:8); and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss (Rev. 21:1-4).
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God (Titus 3:4–7).
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church (Eph. 1:22-23), which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations (Matt. 28:19-20). The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41-47).
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Heb. 10:37) and will be personal and visible (Luke 21:27). This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service (Titus 2:11-14). There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life (I Cor. 15:20-23); for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment (John 5:28-29).
