What day is this?
So, it’s 2:00 am and I hear the clock tick. No one to ask any questions or any need to make a decision. It should be the perfect time and place for my “nothing box”. Yet, my head is filled with so much…to the point I can’t sleep. As I write, the world is changing and I’m fortunate enough to have a wife that wants the same things as me.
As I sip on some tea and write, I reflect: I serve an amazing God and have this surreal and wonderful relationship with Him…yet, I wonder, did I do all I could do?
In all of this, isn’t it strange how the world changed? Social distancing has made it “Shiver Cold” when it should be a time of embracing (thanks, David John Matthews). Well, the world is changing us, but maybe it’s time to embrace others. There are so many families that need help, and yet I’m obsessed with my toilet paper. It’s too easy to get absorbed in self when families need more. Whether you give of yourself at home or abroad, we can’t physically do that anymore, but we can pray. These are those days.
So, what day is this? It’s the day to give all we can to help others.
“So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well.”
2 Corinthians 12:15a (NIV)
As we all struggle through all this, our hearts and prayers are with you. Please know that and it’s all we think about.
This will change, yet our Lord never does!
